“Children represent the future for all of us. We must pass on the legacy that you should never stop learning.”
Founded in 1990, the Needham Education Foundation is an independent community-based organization that raises funds for the enrichment of public school children in Needham, Mass. We fund grants that promote innovation and excellence from prekindergarten through high school. To date we have given over 500 grants totaling $2.2 million.

NEF Funds Interdisciplinary Learning at Needham High School
With grants totaling $258,500 over three years, NEF has supported interdisciplinary learning at Needham High School through a trailblazing new course for seniors, while encouraging similar innovative programming throughout the district. This pilot program connects traditional disciplines—a key for 21st-century learning and problem solving. Through NEF’s funding, Needham High School teachers have created and are teaching Integrated Senior Studies: The Greater Boston Project, an integrated class that focuses on specific periods in Boston’s history.
Save the Dates of March 14 & 15, 2015 and join us for a series of events to celebrate the impact the NEF has made on Needham Public Schools since our founding.
