For Immediate ReleaseA Record Year for Needham Education FoundationSpring Grants Boost NEF Funding to Annual RecordNEEDHAM, Mass., May 8, 12006 - The Needham Education Foundation (NEF) completed its most generous grant year ever this month by awarding 12 Spring Grants, totaling $30,923 to support innovative education programs for Needham public schools. The grants support the NEF mission of enriching the education experience for Needham public school children. This academic year the Needham Education Foundation awarded 27 grants totaling $115,178 for every school in the district. “Now, more than ever, it is important that these innovative programs have the resources to enrich our young people and their families,” said Mimi Segel, NEF co-president. “I’m proud that NEF is able to play a role in keeping our school system vibrant, relevant and stimulating.” View a list and description of all spring grants.
