Grants for Needham SchoolsThe Needham Education Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to fostering excellence and innovation in public education, which we consider a cornerstone in our town's economic and social well-being. In 17 years of grant-making and fund-raising, this community foundation has awarded more than $1 million in support of more than 225 innovative projects benefiting Needham's schoolchildren, while growing its sustaining fund to more than $1 million. By supporting the creativity of educators and enhancing the enrichment opportunities of our children, we believe we are building not only stronger schools, but a stronger, more vibrant community in Needham. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the growth in our assets, NEF offers three grant cycles on an annual basis: fall and spring grants of up to $5,000 each and a "Large Grant" cycle to support one-year or two-year projects, school-wide projects or system-wide projects that are innovative, collaborative, and promise broad and lasting impact for Needham schoolchildren.
