Respect: A Suite of Dances

Hu and Guy VanDuser visited Mitchell Elementary School and led a dance
program with complex routines centered on the value of respect.
Principal Michael Schwinden wrote, “Their routines were carried out
with such enthusiasm and skill that everyone in the audience was caught
up in the spirit."
One teacher wrote, “The initial bow of respect that was taught set the
tone and message for the program, and was kept going throughout the
day. The reluctant fifth graders were having a great time by the end
of the day."
Another teacher commented, “Even some of my students who aren’t usually
into music and dance loved it!”
